Replace a coil and avoid dry hits

A new coil needs enough liquid at the wick before first use. The manufacturer's exact procedure takes priority.

Check compatibility

Use only coils approved for the tank or pod and the specified resistance range. Fit seals cleanly without cross-threading or pinching.

Saturate and wait

Fill the tank and allow the wick the time stated in the manual to absorb liquid. Do not dry-fire or attempt to break it in at extreme power.

Set power cautiously

Start low within the printed power range and increase gradually. Stop immediately if the taste becomes dry or burnt and investigate the cause.

Wattage setting

The wattage setting determines the electrical power a regulated device supplies to the coil. It must remain within the range stated for both coil and device; excessive or unsuitable power can cause overheating, dry hits and premature wear.
