RBA
RBA is an umbrella term for rebuildable atomizer units whose heating coil and wick can be installed or replaced by the user. It includes standalone RDAs, RTAs and RDTAs as well as rebuildable bases for compatible tanks or pods.

Classification
RBA denotes a distinct device design with its own combination of power source, liquid reservoir, atomiser unit and control logic. Those four characteristics decide which spare parts and liquids will fit at all. The meaning of RBA shifts depending on whether marketing copy, a user manual or a datasheet is using the word.

Practical relevance
When buying or upgrading, RBA is therefore not a detail but the base decision: it fixes the charging route, the wear parts and the running costs for the entire service life. The disposal route follows directly from this design too. In practice the question about RBA comes up together with RTA – clarifying one of them usually means half-understanding the other already.

Handling it safely
With RBA, use only the pods, coils, cables and chargers the manufacturer has expressly released for it. A deformed housing, hot contacts or leaking liquid are reasons to stop using it immediately. Nicotine-containing products in connection with RBA are intended exclusively for adults and do not belong in the hands of adolescents.

Not to be confused with
Product copy often puts RBA and RDA in the same sentence, while RTA describes a different level and must not be equated with them. In case of doubt, it is not common usage that decides but what the manufacturer and – particularly important within Parts & technology – the applicable rules stipulate.
